Pre-University Programs
Pre-University College programs typically last two years. They are designed to prepare you for studies in university, and do no directly lead to specific careers. While all college programs require you to have a High School Diploma, certain programs have specific prerequisites you need to meet before applying. Technical or Career College programs usually take three years to complete. They are designed to prepare you for a specific career or profession, and may also make you eligible for certain programs in university. While all college programs require you to have a High School Diploma, certain programs have specific prerequisites you need to meet before applying. Such programs include Computer Science, Professional Theater, Nursing, Police Technology, and much more.

What if I’m missing prerequisites?
In Adult Education: PACC Adult Education offers any courses needed on an individual course basis. This includes core subjects, advanced Math and Advanced Sciences.
At CEGEP: Most CEGEPs offer summer classes and half or full year “transition” programs to make up missing prerequisites. Continuing education (or night school) is also a worthwile option to make up missing prerequisites.

- SOME of these programs admit with only Sec IV CST Math: make sure to double-check the prerequisites of your target program.
- ALL of these programs include some English, French, Humanities and Physical Education courses, which will be credited to your ‘target’ program when you start it.
